Tasmania ~ Scenic Beauty in this Incredible Island State
We connected with Aran at Tasmanian Safaris and he is willing to work with North American travel professionals ~ he told us about a place called The Walls of Jerusalem that is “off the beaten tourist path” ~ you can see us here walking through one of the valleys in between the “Walls”.
We climbed up a steep crevice in one of the Walls of Jerusalem to a look-out called Solomon’s Throne ~ the views were absolutely breath-taking.The National Park does not have any accommodation, so you do need to hike up the first day, camp on wooden platforms, and then continue hiking up the following day to reach this amazing place.

We continued around the island and hiked up to the top of Cradle Mountain that you can see in the background here, and then down another path and around Dove Lake.
As we continued our tour of Tasmania, we went to this hidden gem of a place called Corinna, with wombats and wallabies coming right up to you. They offer kayak trips up to the waterfalls and several rivers to see the animals “up close”.
We soaked in the peace and tranquility as we walked through rain forests with enormous trees. We also got a history lesson when we visited Port Arthur on the Tasman peninsula, where they deported the worst convicted criminals from England in the 1800’s.

We visited the most amazing waterfalls throughout the island.
Freycinet National Park & Wineglass Bay are a MUST if you visit Tazzie, with mouthwatering seafood at a little shack just outside the park gates when you finish a day of stunning scenery.
The Bay of Fires is a stunning coastline with miles of sugar-white sandy beaches, blue water, and the distinct orange-hued rocks of this area. For any of you interested in visiting Tasmania or sending clients, I highly recommend contacting Aran at: http://tasmaniansafaris.com.
